Rangers have confirmed they have made a bid for Carlos Cuellar, Allan McGregor to stay

But owner Craig Whyte insists that goalkeeper Allan McGregor is not for the sale and would not be joining new boss Alex McLeish's Villa in the trade and i will have to said that Allan is not for sale for We have not been approached by anybody about him, said Whyte.

We've made a bid for Cuellar and with their managerial change, it has slowed there a bit for a Madrid-born Cuellar joined Rangers from Osasuna in 2007 but after one season left for Villa Park in a £7.8m transfer three years ago as the Scottish Football Writers' Player of the Year.

The 29-year-old had turned down the offer of a new contract and higher wages to play in Premier League in England and left the door open to a possible return and Rangers bid for Carlos Cuellar, Allan McGregor to stay.
