English Footballer Midfield David Beckham Carrier Information

David Robert Joseph Beckham, OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English footballer who plays midfield for Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer and having previously played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, and A.C. Milan, as well as the England national team, for the whom he holds the all the time appearance record for an outfield player.

Beckham's career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United, making his first-team debut in 1992 aged 17 and during his time there, United won the Premier League title 6 times for the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999 and he left Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid in 2003.

The international football, Beckham made his England debut on 1 September 1996, at the age of 21 and he was made captain from 15 November 2000 until for the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals and during which he played 58 times.

Beckham has twice been runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004 was the world's highest-paid footballer when taking into account salary and advertising deals and he was the 1st British footballer to play 100 Champions League matches.

International career for Beckham made his first appearance for the England national football team on 1 September 1996, in a World Cup qualifying match against Moldova and he had played in all of England's qualifying matches for the 1998 World Cup and was part of the England squad at the World Cup finals in France.

Records for a Beckham has captained England 59 times and the 4 highest after Bobby Moore (90), Billy Wright (90) and Bryan Robson (65) and he is free kick goal against Ecuador in the second round of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Beckham gained membership into two of football's exclusive clubs and he became the only English player and the 21st player regardless of nationality to a score in 3 world cups.
