Cabaye for a newcastle midfielder refused entry visa for pre-season tour of USA

Unhappy hat-trick for Magpies for a Cabaye becomes third player to be denied US entry visa prior to the club's pre-season tour 25-year-old Frenchman a £4.8million arrival from Lille, did not join rest of the travelling party when they headed across Atlantic on Sunday and like Joey Barton and Nile Ranger is to miss out on the trip.

Cabaye's absenc which it is understood relates to the minor issue which has now been resolved and it will come for a blow to manager Alan Pardew and had hoped to assimilate his new signings in the squad during their time in America and the Pardew insisted last Thursday that Barton of the application was rejected because of his spell behind bars for assault, would slip seamlessly back into the first-team squad on their return.

He, like Ranger, who was convicted for his part in a street robbery as a 15 year old and it will instead join the development squad when they head for their training camp in Holland later this week he will now also go to Holland is a another facing a frustrating wait to resume training with his new team mates with he and fellow new arrivals Demba Ba, Sylvain Marveaux and Mehdi Abeid having only started work on Tyneside the week before last.

International career for the Cabaye is a former French youth international having represented his nation internationally at the  under-16,under-18,under-19,under-20, and under-21 level and he earned his 1st call up at the international level in October 2001 and he was called up to the under-16 team to play in the Tournoi du Val-de-Marne.
