2010 FIFA World Cup: Germany thrashed Australia 4-0 in their opening FIFA World Cup campaign in Group D late on Sunday at the Durban Stadium.
Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose scored goals in the 1st half before and Thomas Mueller and Cacau doubled the goal count to 4 in the second period.
Australia was left to rue missing the first chance of the game, as Philipp Lahm cleared a close-range effort by Richard Garcia in the 4th minute, FOX Sports reports.
