Simao Sabrosa Retires From Portugal Team

Portuguese player Simao Sabrosa announced that he is now retire from the national team on his public letter to Portugal Football Federation. However, he did not mention the reason behind his decision.

"After a long thought, I believe it's time for me to put an end in my career with national team, and gives room for a new player. No particular reason on why I decided to take this step,"he stated.
Sabrosa is one of the portugal player with most caps. He has appeared 85 times and scored 22 goals since 1998.

It means he will not appear during the 2012 European Cup qualifier.
