Shakira's Debut as Book Editor - her dad's is the client

After she attended her boyfriend's father on his new book launch last month, this time, it was her dad who needs her promoting skills at the launch of his new book called "Al viento y al azar" (The wind and the chance).

The book is a collection of fiction love stories, where Shakira helped to edit and wrote the prologue of the book .

"Not only did he give me life, he also kept inspiring me every day,"wrote Shakira.

With her father's book, she also set her debut as an editor.

Shakira Enters Hollywood Walk of Fame

Colombian singer Shakira joined other 2,453 famous stars in a Hollywood Walk of Fame. Early this week, Shakira, accompanied by her parents, unveiled her own star infront of W Hollywood Hotel and hundreds of fans. She dedicated the star for her fans who always support her music. On her speech, she also mentioned how her mother onced told her when she was still little girl, that she will have her own name one day. And it appears that her prediction was right.

On this memorable day, Shakira's boyfriend, Gerrard Pique  was nowhere to be seen. He joined his national team for an international duty.

Shakira € 12 Million Investment in a Paradise Island

Shakira will now have more private time with his boyfriend Gerard Pique, as she just invest a € 12 million in a partnership with Roger Waters (ex-Pink Floyd) in a paradise Island of Bahamas.

According to international press, the Colombian singer already plans her next vacation there. But it won't be a private island, since there will be tourism project involves in the investment deal, such as luxury hotels for performing an exclusive shows (maybe she even perform there)

Shakira will be honored as the 2011 Latin Recording Academy person of the year on Nov.9th, at the  12th Tribute Gala in Las Vegas.

The Colombian singer will be the youngest person to receive the tribute. Ricky Martin, Gloria Esteban, Santana, Placido Domingo, were the people who once received the same tribute.

Shakira Barefoot Foundation, or Pies Descalzos, collaborate with Barcelona Foundation, in creating the construction of sport and recreation facilities in Miami, as well as in the Colombian city of Cartagena.

The city of Spanish is reportedly considering on fining the Colombian singer after she filmed a music video on the street, and stopping the traffic. Well of course she did, since she was wearing a bikini top and gold hip-huggers that showed off her toned figure.

And not just that, Shakira didn't even get any permits to dance in a public fountain,Pla de Palau. Plus, she rode on the back of a motorcycle without wearing a helmet, which can categorized as a crime in Barcelona.

The officials in Spain was so disturb by her variety of infraction, they took serious charged on fining her.

Guess she won't be shaking off his hips now....
