Manchester City showed their strength of mind to finish in the top four this term with a hard-fought 0-1 win over demotion threatened Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Monday night.
City took the lead in the 76th minute through Edin Dzeko and with the victory; they handled to open up a four point gap stuck between themselves and Tottenham who currently occupy fifth.
Manchester City started the match very much on the front foot, aggressive from the off with David Silva crashing a lovely volley in opposition to the post in just the 4th minute.
Pablo Zabaleta charged up the right wing and angry, with Gareth Barry in-turn teeing the ball up nicely for the Spaniard who let rips from the edge of the box, but Paul Robinson’s right-post kept the score-line goalless.
