Martin Broughton insists that operational as the chairman of Liverpool has been "one of the most brilliant experiences" of his operational life.
Broughton was appointed in April to make sure the sale of the club. And now that it has gone from start to end successfully, the self-confessed Chelsea enthusiast will step down from his site.
"It was always my stated aim to stand down once the sale was ended and I am happy that the club is now in good hands," said the British Airways chairman.
