Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Rene Adler returned to training today, ten days after suffering a broken rib.
Rene Adler, who will be Germany's number 1 at the 2010 FIFA World Cup this summer, picked up the injury in the recent 2-1 defeat to Stuttgart.
Though he was not thought to be in danger of missing the tournament, his return to training will be a boost to national team boss Joachim Low and Bayer in their bid to finish 3rd in the Bundesliga.
It remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old athlete will be fit for Saturday's clash with Hertha Berlin.
"We first have to see how it develops," he said on Bayer's official site.
Coach Jupp Heynckes appeared hopeful, adding: "It looked good, how Rene trained."
